Analog disc playing has deeply improved on the present popular digital audio sources, and now along combined is an individual phono amp seeking more of a sound quality.Therefore the functions sought in the previous phono amp is consolidated to the signal source selection and volume adjustment. It is becoming to be the control center of the system.At our company, due to a new idea for the volume adjustment mechanism which is the gist of audio playing, an ideal volume adjustment circuit was successfully developed.A high class control amp CA-1 which makes good use of this circuit is developed.



Quality Guarantee

The push button processed from carved high quality brass and the brass plated ring inside the rotary knob carved from aluminum is combined with a switch (even the operational feeling is examined) having an advanced operation which only real ones possess.

   

Especially the volume control unit is matched with a flywheel of a mass 320g supported with ball bearings and actualizes an exquisite operation that is suitable to be a very high class control amp.

   

The front panel carved from a 15mm thick aluminum, a 5mm thick structural material, and the side panel using a 15mm thick pure oak will not take away the joy of the accomplishment of a universally high distinctive character. The I/O terminal is made by WBT that is evaluated as high part/sound quality.The blue led pointer brightness can be adjusted 5 steps and matches with an environment of a listening room.

Volume Adjustment Circuit Actualized With an Ideal Gain Control

Due to impedance matching, an ideal gain control was made possible having no electric power loss.As a the result, the main unit’s volume adjustment circuit has enough volume resolution (46 levels) to actualize an absolute non-use of active elements, high input impedance and low output impedance. Even if the volume is dropped, the osmotic force is maintained and can be enjoyed having no sound diminishing.

Construction

The signal selection stage is structured as an electrically and mechanically independent layout in order for non-selected sources or other sections to not send electrical effects or unnecessary vibrations.


Dual Mono Amp Structure Left/Right Independent 7 Block Constructions
For each function block, 7 blocks are separated and mutual interferences are minimized. In addition, the left/right layout is completely symmetrical and the channel separation is over 100db throughout all audio belt areas.

                   


Mechanical Earth
The left/right independent power blocks are supported with a special high carbon cast iron having great vibration control and prevents harmful vibrations to transmit to the chassis.In addition, a 5mm thick bake light board insulator having high electric/magnetic resistance is attached between the transformer and the 5mm thick chassis base and this prevents vibration and magnetic induction (generated from the power transformer) to transmit to the chassis.


Vibration Free, Resonance Free Chassis
In addition to a strong chassis structure with a 15mm thick carved aluminum front panel, a 5mm thick chassis base, and a top plate, an effective resonance is damped due to the side panel made from pure oak.


Low Noise Power Circuit

High voltage low current rectification is suitable for the amp power circuit and a luxurious rectification circuit is introduced having a rectifier tube (one that principally does not generate a switching noise) and a chalk transformer.



A Simple Signal Transmission

We narrowed down to necessary functions needed in a control amp and maintained the purity of the signals without passing redundant points.In addition, the power circuit and amplifying circuit does not use any printed wiring but the short distance was connected with arranged lines that were time consuming bringing to effect an ideal 3-dimensional part arrangement.


   



A Vacuum Tube Type Unit Amp That Actualizes a Low Output Impedance

This unit amp excels in transient characteristics and the sound-evaluated non-feedback amplifying circuit is combined with a cathode follower.In addition, due to combining the output transformer of Phase Tech’s original development and manufacturing, the impedance matching was measured and a 100Ω output impedance was accomplished which is rare for a vacuum tube type amplifier. This will strongly drive the connected main amp.This transformer is structured with a large EI core due to a “78% super permealloy core material” and presently from an audio transformer’s view, it is a development having very low loss high performance transformer.The charming and impressive sound can be enjoyed with a dynamic range that is only possible with a vacuum tube type amplifier.
